This year marks the 20th anniversary of the concept of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), introduced by the United Nations Global Compact. The adoption and integration of ESG principle has become a defining trend within the international community. The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project actively practices the ESG philosophy by encouraging every employee to thoroughly clean up waste at the construction site and surrounding environment, striving to become ambassadors of a "plastics-free" mindset on the African savannah.

是联合国全球契约组织今年提出的ESG（Environmental, Social and Governance）概念二十周年。在国际社会中，遵循ESG理念和内在理念已经成为大势所趋。东非石油外运管道管道项目（EACOP）积极实践ESG理念，号召每位员工彻底清理施工现场及周边环境废弃物，努力成为非洲草原上不“塑造”的客人。

Walking into the EACOP project office,visitors are greeted by bilingual posters promoting the "plastic-free" campaign. Through these campaigns, we aim to inspire and guide our employees, embedding the values of green and environmentally friendly construction into their daily work. We encourage everyone to start with small actions around them and take on the dual roles of advocates and practitioners of environmental protection." said Mercy, a local employee from the Public Relations Department.

走进EACOP项目部，中英文双语战“塑”宣传手册在公告栏上格外引人注目。“我们希望通过宣传引导，将绿色环保工程建设理念深深植根于参与者的心中，让员工进一步提高环保意识，从身边的小事做起，成为环保的实践者和宣传者。”公关部当地员工Mercy说。

Since the campaign's launch, plastic water bottles have vanished from the office, replaced by durable reusable cups. Plastic bags have largely been eliminated, with eco-friendly woven bags becoming the new trend. In the cafeteria, disposable lunch boxes have been swapped for stylish reusable containers, reflecting the team's commitment to sustainability.

活动开展以来，办公区的塑料小水瓶不见了，随之而来的是可回收水杯；塑料袋减少了，环保包装袋成了新时尚；食堂的一次性饭盒也变成了高价值饭盒。

On the construction site, the "plastic-free" campaign has also drawn enthusiastic participation, with local and international staff actively volunteering for waste cleanup efforts.

在施工现场，战“塑”活动也吸引了当地员工的加入，他们争当不“塑”的客人，纷纷加入到清理废物的队伍中。

This initiative exemplifies the EACOP project team's dedication to ESG principles. Moving forward, the project team plans to take further integrate environmental protection, plastic waste reduction, and the "plastics-free" mindset into its core operations and social responsibilities. Their ultimate goal is to establish the EACOP project as a pioneering model of sustainability and environment protection.

本次活动是管道局EACOP项目团队实践ESG理念的缩影。接下来，项目部下继续长期努力，敢于承担责任，把环保减塑、不“塑造”的客户观念变成社会责任和自觉行动，把EACOP项目变成绿色环保标志性项目。
